I saw my ex over the weekend while dropping off our little girl to spend Spring Break with him. I haven't seen him since last Thanksgiving. He looked as if he were trying to act "tough" (puffed out chest, etc) I was a little suprised by his appearance... he's put on some weight, and not in a good way. He seemed suprised by mine as well, I've lost weight and changed my hair. I took a good hard look at him and I realized that I'm not attracted to him at all anymore... there's still that underlying bit of caring and tenderness that I will probably always have for him... but the deep love and intense appeal are gone. He handed me the divorce paperwork to look over and I could feel him watching as I snuggled and cuddled our daughter before letting her go with him. He reached out to shake my hand and I shook it, then laughed out loud at the ridiculous gesture and smiled at him. He gave me a sheepish grin and said, "Well, it's a new game now." I shook my head sadly and said, "It was never a game, Gabe." I blew my little girl a kiss, got into my car and drove away... I'm feeling pretty good these days.

There are at least two more coming... along the same lines as the last two (bumblebee with the word "believe" on my left forearm, ladybug with the word "hope" on my left foot... there will be a firefly with the word "truth" on my right hip and a butterfly with the word "faith" on my right shoulderblade when I am finished) oddly enough, most people don't even notice them because they are so small... *shrug* I don't care if I am a catch or not, I get them for me... not anyone else.
